The last week of June 2003 my dad noticed a bird was flying in and out of our planter.

It turned out that a Carolina Wren made a nest in our planter.

Eventually the eggs hatched and the parents started gathering food for the babies all day.

One day the babies disappeared and so did the parents. We guess the babies learned to fly and left the nest.
